As our Security Coordinator for Rose Quarter facilities, you will share our commitment to inclusivity and innovation to safeguard our facilities and enhance our legacy in Rip City.
The Security Coordinator will collaborate with multiple departments and needs to be an excellent communicator and a true team player. This security professional will also support the Event Security Manager and will oversee event security for select shows and events.

This role will be mainly onsite with the potential for extended work hours, including evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
DAY-TO-DAY:

Positively influence the team and lead with a high level of integrity.
- Manage Command Center operations, including Closed-Circuit Television system (CCTV), security alarm system, radio dispatch, access control, and alarm monitoring systems.

Administer various security systems (card access, branch alarm, etc.), including troubleshooting, coordinating repairs, and overseeing upgrades.

Ensure all security and medical incidents are completed with the necessary information and all statements are completed and filed in the proper locations.

Support Event Security Manager in building estimates and budgets for event-related staffing.

Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and security initiatives with direction from the Director of Security. [Au1]

Support Campus Security Department with credentials and proxy card access; ensures the quality and accuracy of all logs and incident reports generated at the site; and creates and implements post orders for the security team on site.

Collaborate with management in the development plans for 24/7 facility security and event security.
- Assists when needed with interviews, hiring and training of security agents and supervisors hired by the Rose Quarter.
- Contribute to the development of security & emergency response training sessions for arena personnel.

Supports investigations of accidents, thefts, property loss, and other unlawful activities or events on campus.

Aid in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes and measures aimed at mitigating security risks.

Conduct various types of safety inspections on campus as directed.

Develop safety programs and conduct safety training for team members alongside Director and Managers of Security.

Monitor the fire alarm system, card access system, and telephones for campus.

Coordinates preventative maintenance, inspection, and repair of security equipment and systems.

Oversee Security team inventory such as but not limited to uniform, radio, facility keys.
WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

Have bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, majoring in law enforcement, criminal justice, public administration, business administration, or a related field or bring equivalent relevant work experience.

Possess a minimum of three years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, sports and entertainment security, or a related field, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Have expertise in CCTV, computerized access control systems, and wireless radio communication.

Are proficient in various software applications, notably Word, Excel, Outlook, video management systems, and sports and entertainment databases.

Have a track record of producing accurate reports and other management-suitable documentation.

Can maintain confidentiality concerning patrons, employees, and company information.

Understand the operations, services, and activities related to public assembly facility security and safety programs.

Are familiar with crowd management and control techniques, as well as the principles of supervision and training.

Have a grasp of terminology used in entertainment and arena settings, coupled with solid computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications.
