    Job Description:

    Reporting to the Director of Public Safety, the Integrated Security Systems Administrator is responsible for providing high quality solutions, customer service, and end-user support to all divisions of the College. The Integrated Security Systems Administrator serves as the technical liaison between Public Safety, the Technology Center, Buildings and Grounds, Residence Life, Academic Affairs, and external partners to provide business process and technical solutions to meet the College's Public Safety integrated technical infrastructure.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Card Access and Technology Support:

    • Responsible for assessing technology needs;
    • Gathering business requirements;
    • Writing technical designs;
    • Troubleshooting and providing on-going support of all software applications used related to campus safety;
    • Serves as the technical project manager for all technology related to integrated campus safety and security efforts;
    • Responsible for providing support to other College programs (such as Conferencing & Events, Summer PAL, and College Search East). The incumbent is responsible for collecting requirements from those constituents and making recommendations to ITS for enhancements to the Banner, ID Card Management, and card access, meal plan processes, systems, and other systems when necessary.

    2. Operational Support and System Administration:

    • Develop a complete understanding of all departments' policies, procedures, and applications. This includes, but is not limited to:
      • Banner Student and Course dog Event Management modules; Public Safety's Parking Ticket/Billing, Vehicle Registration, emergency phones, alarm systems, Dispatch Log and Incident Tracking, emergency alert (Blackboard Connect 5), ID Card Management, access control/ID Badging (C-Cure 9000) systems; the meal plan, points and Colonel Cash systems (CBORD's Odyssey PCS and GET); Residence Life & Housing's Housing Lottery and Selection, residence hall damage recording/reporting and billing systems; Disability Service's Housing Accommodations system; Student Activities' SGA Elections, New Student Orientations and Senior Week Registration systems; Fitness Center Check-In and Reporting systems; the Conduct Manager system; the School Dude trouble tracking system; reports and processes; and any other applications used within the Division;
    • Develop comprehensive documentation of all systems, including training documents for staff, disaster recovery procedures, and technical documentation for all systems, programs, or reports;
    • Perform administrative tasks in the ID Card, C-Cure 9000, Odyssey PCS, Colonel Cash, and Connect 5 systems;
    • Consult with end users to identify and analyze business needs, recommend new applications or changes to business practices to satisfy requirements;
    • Assist with evaluating 3rd party software solutions and develop, maintain, and troubleshoot 3rd party software interfaces;
    • Act as a primary point of contact for ITS when troubleshooting software/application specific issues, questions, and concerns;
    • Participate in regular meetings for campus safety technology and infrastructure;
    • Serve as a member of the College's Emergency Preparedness Committee.

    3. Banner (reports and integrations):

    • Review product release notes and participate in testing upgrades as they relate to the Banner Student module, relevant processes, and reports;
    • Work with ITS to request modifications to existing integrations between Banner and relevant applications;
    • Develop business requirements for requests for new and changes to reports and automated processes.

    4. Video Surveillance:

    • Manage functionality of video surveillance and related systems;
    • Collaborate with Buildings & Grounds and ITS on expansion of system capacity;
    • Monitor and liaise with external vendors supporting video surveillance;
    • Archive any footage necessary for investigatory purposes;
    • Adhere to and recommend video surveillance policies of the College.

    5. Emergency Notification System:

    • In partnership with Emergency Preparedness Committee and Marketing Communications partners, develop a library of emergency notification templates to be staged in the emergency notification systems to expedite deployment, if necessary;
    • Monitor the Emergency Notification Platform;
    • Upload any approved Emergency Operation protocols to be distributed to the Campus Community;
    • Provide training on Emergency Notification System functionality to colleagues charged with activating the emergency notification system.

    Additional Functions:

    • Occasionally required to work outside of normal business hours and may be called during off hours;
    • Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy;
    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or their designee.


    Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A relevant bachelor's degree.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience supporting a large department.
    • Project management.
    • Experience working with 3rd party vendors.
    • Access control system experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in higher education preferred.
    • Experience with Ellucian's Banner Student Information System (SIS).
    • Preferably certified as a C-Cure 9000 Advanced System Manager.

    Salary Range:

    $70,000 to $75,000 annually
