Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a School Secretary. As a School Secretary, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our school. This is a full-time position with regular office hours.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and greeting visitors
- Manage the school calendar and schedule appointments and meetings
- Assist with data entry and maintain accurate student records
- File and organize documents, ensuring confidentiality and security
- Provide support in organizing school events and activities
- Assist with proofreading and editing documents as needed
- Handle dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficient in typing and data entry to maintain accurate records
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred
- Calendar management skills to schedule appointments and meetings efficiently
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff, parents, and visitors
- Administrative skills to assist with various office tasks
- Attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and proofreading documents
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in office administration is a plus
- Previous experience as a secretary or administrative assistant preferred
