Secondary Market Manager helps develop, manage, and improve a company's secondary mortgage market operations. Leads a team of analysts to ensure timely and accurate work and provides research and solutions to complex questions or tasks. Being a Secondary Market Manager oversees the company's loan purchases and sales on the secondary market and manages mortgage loan portfolios to balance risk. Reviews performance indicators and utilizes economic data and market trends to determine risk. Additionally, Secondary Market Manager maintains relationships with investors, brokers, and originators to identify and develop new leads and opportunities. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a director. The Secondary Market Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Secondary Market Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Objective: To assist customers in their shopping experience by leading all aspects of the Floral team in a way that not only promotes growth for the company, but also results in a team that delivers the product and service Cosentino’s customers have come to expect. This position is an understudy of the Floral Manager.
    Reporting Structure: This position formally reports to the Store Director.
    Status: This is an exempt position.
    Knowledge
    The following is a list of any certifications, formal education, or training requirements for this position.
    Essential Knowledge
    • A minimum of (1) year of previous experience in retail floral management is required.
    • A valid driver’s license is required for deliveries.
    • Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino’s Learning Plan.
    Non-Essential Knowledge
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

    Essential Job Functions
    • In the absence of the Floral Manager, provide direct supervision of the activities of other members of the floral team in a manner that is operationally effective, motivating and respectful.
    • Assist the Floral Manager in clearly communicating to team members the goals that have been set for the department and implementing plans to reach the set goals.
    • Promote a positive overall team atmosphere that includes cooperation and teamwork, high morale, positive interpersonal interactions and communications, and recognition for a job well done.
    • Support the Floral Manager in providing effective coaching, corrective actions, and performance evaluations to improve individual and team performance.
    • Address employee relations issues and, if needed, effectively work with the Floral Manager, Store Management and Human Resource team to resolve issues.
    • Assist the Floral Manager in effectively managing labor costs in a way that successfully balances the customer’s need for service with the company’s need to closely monitor expenditures.
    • Consult with customers to determine the products that best meet their needs and clearly document all orders to ensure follow through on service requests.
    • Quickly and efficiently create flower and balloon arrangements to customer specifications.
    • Deliver Floral and Store Products to customers, as needed.
    • Neatly arrange cases and shelves by matching item UPC codes to shelf tags and ensuring products are front facing for customers.
    • Keep floral cases and shelves stocked with necessary items and ensure product is properly rotated, watered, and checked for freshness and date.
    • Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner and recognize when it is appropriate to involve a member of the store management team.
    • Know and implement the Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards.
    • Promote new items and weekly specials through merchandising and creative displays.
    • Be knowledgeable about department products, procedures and policies so customer questions can be accurately answered.
    • Effectively manage the inventory process at all levels (i.e. accurately counting and tracking items, efficient planning and ordering of product).
    • Remove any damaged, un-saleable or returnable product from shelves and follow proper procedures for damage claims.
    • Label or price any merchandise that requires marking and know how to obtain price signs when necessary.
    • Know, comply with, and ensure the team complies with all health regulations, sanitation guidelines and safety procedures for your department and your store.
    • Able to operate, clean and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
    • Meet or exceed productivity standards to produce desired team and individual results.
    • Actively work to keep your work area and your department as a whole clean and safe for customers and coworkers.
    • Demonstrates the strong verbal and interpersonal skills necessary for positive customer and peer interactions.
    • Demonstrates the basic math and reading skills required for the position.
    Non-Essential Job Functions
    • Ensure all new employees receive orientation and training as needed.
    • Prepare, merchandise and neatly display all products in the floral department.
    • Quickly unload and sort incoming shipments and neatly stock them in their designated areas without damaging merchandise.
    • Promote sales by suggesting additional products or services.
    • Support your company by completing additional tasks identified by management, assisting other stores or departments as needed and gaining new skills when necessary.

    Physical Abilities
    The following physical movements could potentially be part of any scheduled shift and employees will be expected to perform these actions while on duty.
    Essential Abilities
    • Reaching overhead with both arms up to a maximum of 74 inches, twisting at the waist and lifting objects with both hands weighing up to 2 lbs.
    • Pushing and pulling grocery items to the proper locations as needed, up to a peak force of 20 lbs.
    • Standing and walking for long periods of time on tile, asphalt, concrete or other hard surfaces.
    • Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
    • Bending and squatting, at times all the way to floor level.
    • Able to work in colder conditions of the grocery coolers and freezers.
    Non-Essential Abilities
    • Climbing a ladder, possibly up to 5ft.
