Secondary Market Analyst jobs in Wichita, KS

Koch Minerals & Trading is looking for a Trading Market Analyst to join our Products Trading team in our Houston, TX or Wichita, KS office! The primary focus of our Distillation Products team is the entrepreneurial trading of jet fuel, diesel/gasoil, feedstocks, finished fuel oils and components.

Our Team

The Trading Market Analyst will work alongside our trading teams based in Geneva, Houston/Wichita, and Singapore to provide both in-depth analysis and wide-ranging analysis covering various markets.

What You Will Do

• Support Analysts and Traders by producing targeted and relevant ad-hoc analysis
• Monitor real-time market information in order to contribute towards trading strategies
• Lead creating weekly/monthly research reports
• Manage and maintain existing knowledge systems with a view to further improve them
• Track future market developments and their potential impacts for our relevant markets
• Engage actively in discussions around point-of-view and position

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience working in Microsoft Excel and VBA within a role daily/weekly
• Experience within the oil products industry or energy industry experience
• Programming experience in one of the following languages - Python, R, Matlab Knowledge of Tableau or similar data visualization software
• Experience in corporate setting with data (scraping, SQL/NoSQL databases, data wrangling, etc.)

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience working in either a Trading house, oil major or brokerage
