Facilitates sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, demos, and retrospectives. Additionally, Scrum Master, Sr. identifies and manages the backlog. Supports, coaches and mentors team members. Tracks daily sprint progress and maintain schedules. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Typically reports to a director. The Scrum Master, Sr. work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Description:- The Scrum Master is responsible for implementation and oversight of scrum processes applied to operations throughout the organization and/or in specific work units.
- This position is responsible for coaching team members in scrum methodology, leading scrum events, and eliminating barriers to assure successful sprints.
- This position proactively collaborates with all stakeholders to support release planning and foster team decision-making, while facilitating collaboration between the scrum team and Product Owner.
- The purpose of this position is to successfully support cross-functional scrum teams to add value efficiently through the practice of scrum events and agile principles.
Requirements:- Coordinating and facilitating all scrum events throughout the lifecycle
- Facilitating and participating in the daily scrum
- Helping the team maintain their burndown chart
- Shielding the team from interruptions during the sprint
- Removing obstacles that affect the team
- Walking the product owner through more technical user stories
- Encouraging collaboration between the scrum team and Product Owner
- Provide and communicate backlog tracking, monitor burndown charts and product metrics, forecast velocity, and oversee the flow of work related to tasks associated with each requirement (user story).
- Coordinate and facilitate all agile events making sure the team is working smoothly and every team member has tools to get their work done efficiently.
- Forecast the numbers of scrum deliverables possible in an iteration, which is based on evidence and reliable source.
- Remove product impediments while continuously negotiating with the product owner throughout the product development life cycle.
- Improve the efficiency of the development team.
- Provides continuous education to the scrum team on agile methodology.
- Manage scrum team conflicts while keeping the product on track within the agreed upon budget.
- Ensures the scrum team completes the work they commit to.
