Scientist - Clinical Research jobs in Jamestown, NY

Job Purpose: Directly responsible for setup of CNC machines and training of entry level operators.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate and setup CNC lathes, mills, and multi-axis machining centers.
• Operate manual lathes and mills, and other machining centers.
• Operate grinders, saws, presses, and other manual equipment.
• Support a variety of production tasks and challenges.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area.

Requirements:

• Associates degree in CNC operation or similar technical education and experience.
• 5 years or more of experience in CNC milling and lathe operation.
• 5 years or more of experience in manual milling and lathe machining.
• Possess a high level of Mechanical Aptitude
• Must be able to clearly understand and follow work orders, work instruction, engineering drawings while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Be proficient in the use of measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, comparators, gages, etc.
• Regularly perform repetitive tasks that require manual dexterity to assemble and package pieces together quickly and accurately and be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Work environment is similar to most manufacturing operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, vibrations, and hazards associated with working around moving machinery.
• High attention to detail skills.
• Ability to calculate and work with figures such as, basic math, percentages, weight, distance, area, circumference, and volume.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
