Qualifications for School Nurse

- Active TN Nursing License
- Active NASN member
- Proficient in computer software to include; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerSchool and other applications, as needed
- Knowledge of many areas of health including mental health
- Knowledge of school laws and policies
- Ability to work independently or with others
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written means
- Meticulous documentation skills required
- Ability to assess situations and act quickly
- BLS/CPR certification
- Knowledge of state health regulations
- Ability to multitask
