      Edmonds School District School Nurses, together with Administrators and school leadership teams:
      • Develop a plan for all aspects of student health and safety.
      • Contribute nursing expertise in developing plans for students with health disabilities, both those health plans mandated by law (Life threatening conditions and Section 504 accommodations) and Special Education plans.
      • Complete nurse-designated tasks including provision of medication administration at school per procedures and provide other nursing services and duties as assigned.
      • Supervise, monitor and collaborate with Immunization Compliance procedures. Manage legally mandated vision screening programs.
      • Assist in the prevention, identification, and management of the school community communicable disease control.
      • Provide health education and training.
      • Provide support and counseling to students, parents, and school staff regarding physical and emotional health concerns as needed.
      • Serve as liaison between the school, the home, and medical or other community resources.
      • Supervise designated classified staff or volunteers.
      Required Qualifications:
      Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate Certificate as a School Nurse or the ability to obtain one.

      Salary:
      2023-24 Salary Schedule range: $76,677 through $137,755 (2024-25 Salary Schedule not yet finalized).       Benefits:
      Our benefits package includes Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package for eligible positions.
      • Eligibility for health insurance is based on whether the employee is anticipated to be compensated at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31). For the 2023-24 school year a .5 FTE continuing contract position will meet that eligibility threshold. Eligibility for a non-continuing contract position will be determined at the time of hire by counting the total anticipated compensated hours from the date of hire through the end of the non-continuing contract. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Long-term Disability, Life and AD D Insurance and options for HSA, FSA and DCAP.
      • Eligibility for retirement is based on whether the employee is anticipated to work at least 70 hours per month for 5 months during the school year. For the 2023-24 school year a .6 FTE (either continuing or non-continuing) meets that eligibility threshold.
