Job Description
POSITION: School Nurse
SALARY RANGE: $35,000-$45,000
Term: 188 day agreement based on student calendar - summers off
NATURE OF WORK: The employee identifies and treats health disorders among students and provides instruction in the maintenance of good health and disease prevention. The employee must evaluate the physical conditions of students and refer students to appropriate resources as needed. Decisions made by this employee require discretionary judgment and analysis. The work of this employee is seldom reviewed while in progress and is performed under general supervision.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK
SUGGESTED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Completion of training necessary for licensing as a registered nurse and experience in pediatrics and/or public health nursing preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This employee must be certified by the American Nurses Association (ANA) or the National Association of School Nurses (NASN).
Full-time following a student-adjacent calendar including multiple breaks throughout the year.
