  • BCE Consulting
  • Boston, MA FULL_TIME
  • Who we are:

BCE Consulting is a management consulting firm, founded to offer clients a more engaged and hands-on experience. Our partner-led, team-based approach allows us to successfully solve cases and advise clients on their most challenging business issues – from how to enter new markets, analyze their current competitive and portfolio positions, defend share, and reorganize more profitably. Our solutions are backed by market data and practical, achievable recommendations. We have experience supporting clients across a broad set of B2B and B2C markets in industry sectors ranging from aerospace to healthcare to technology and consumer.

    Analyst opportunities:

BCE offers an opportunity for energetic and motivated undergraduates to be part of a growing firm helping clients solve their most challenging business problems.

As an analyst, you will have an opportunity to work alongside partners and clients, participate in intellectually challenging work, and develop skills needed to drive your career in consulting and beyond. The work our analysts do is the foundation upon which all our recommendations are built. They are integral members of every project team, and will be the future leaders of the firm should they choose to pursue a career in consulting. You will make an impact as a contributing member of a project team in your first few weeks of work. Our training and development program is hands-on from day one, and will help you build the foundational skill set needed to drive results for our clients. We integrate ongoing development opportunities into our project delivery process so that your learning never ends at BCE.

After 2-3 years, you will have developed the skills to pursue an MBA or other graduate degree, enter industry, or seek an opportunity in the non-profit sector. Alternatively, you may be invited to join BCE’s leadership team as a manager. Manager candidates will become part of BCE’s leadership development program, which includes annual rotations across industry vertical teams, advanced people and process management trainings, MBA sponsorship, and for some, a rotation as Chief of Staff. Sponsored MBAs to one of the country’s top business schools includes tuition reimbursement and a non-contingent offer to return to BCE in a senior leadership position.

    Analyst responsibilities:

BCE Analysts are generalists, which means you will have an opportunity to work across practice areas and industry verticals. This will provide you exposure to growth strategy, M&A, and organizational development projects helping our clients improve profitability across industry verticals, including aerospace and defense, consumer, industrials, medical technology and diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, private equity, and technology. You will work side-by-side with managers, principals, and BCE partners to drive actionable results for our clients. You will also be exposed directly to BCE clients from project one.

Your research, writing, communication, and teamwork skills will be challenged, developed, and showcased with increasing emphasis on leadership and analytical skills as you become more experienced. Because each client challenge and BCE engagement is different, you will be asked to learn and grow every day. Each client engagement is structured around a project team of one to three researchers and multiple members of BCE’s leadership team. One of these team members will serve as the engagement manager and work directly with our researchers to drive primary research, synthesis and analysis, framework development and population, and delivery of client documents.

As analysts advance, you will be taught the fundamentals of project management to help you progress to a leadership position on engagements; you will be challenged with multiple and more complex assignments to help develop your business acumen and time management skills; and you will find yourself more and more often in front of clients to communicate and present BCE’s project work. This will help you develop a communication and public speaking skill set applicable in any future career environment.

    Analyst qualifications:

BCE recruits analysts from the top liberal arts programs across the country. We do this because we are looking for candidates who have honed or developed the ability to research thoroughly under tight deadlines, write clearly and concisely, and who have demonstrated the ability to learn a specific domain knowledge in a defined period of time, and then articulately communicate that subject matter expertise.

Below are some requirements and preferences we have when reviewing analyst resumes:

    • 3.5 GPA or higher from a top tier accredited university or college
    • Demonstration of competitiveness and interests above and beyond academics. Examples would include music, arts, and individual and team sports.
    • Mastery of at least one foreign language for use in primary research
