Performs cleaning in accordance with established guidelines and specifications, and ensures equipment is operational for production runs. Being a Sanitizer prepares and handles sanitation chemicals and equipment. May require a high school diploma. Additionally, Sanitizer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Sanitizer works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Sanitizer typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. This support is performed by cleaning equipment using both electrical and manual equipment.In this role, you will:
- Clean and Sanitize Equipment. This includes but is not limited to Kettles, Hot Melt Tanks, Pumps, Hoses, Hoppers, Drums, Buckets, Production Lines, Small Parts, Carts, etc.
- Properly Operate both the CIP Skid and Industrial Washer Breakdown equipment for cleaning and reassemble once properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Observe equipment to visibly verify that all equipment is clean prior to storage
- Return clean equipment to proper storage location
- Change out cleaning chemicals as needed.
- Follow proper and required cleaning documentation practices
- Observe machine operations and report any issues
- Effectively communicate with Process Tech, Operators, Line Leads, Sanitizers and Supervision
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
