Job Purpose
The Associate Director Market Research & Analytics serves as the business leader responsible for all Market Research & Analytics services and support activities and provides leadership of the Market Research & Analytics team while providing accountability for the company’s strategic goals. Primary role is to provide strategic development and program planning of all events and special projects in order to drive the achievement of budgeted revenue targets and grow the business through new value propositions, with and through a team of direct and indirect reports. The Market Research & Analytics is high visibility position responsible for the direction and management of Market Research & Analytics, including; Data Collection, Analysis, Interpretation, Application, proposal creation and delivery, and Client and Cross Functional team leadership.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing Market Research & Analytics within the Sales Ecosystem
•Work closely with VP Client Services to align and prioritize Market Research & Analytics activities to support sales and EBITDA goals•Work closely with VP Client Services / Cross Functional teams to ensure customer’s expectations are met and overall business plans and strategies are achieved•Work closely with Strategy team to collectively pull together the insights and reporting necessary to build business cases, recap current programs or support new business opportunities •Build and manage internal cross-functional teams of subject matter experts and/or to ensure Market Research & Analytics business wins•Present strategic frameworks for brands/categories/strategic initiatives based on a customer-centric approach that is rooted in market research, category business analysis, etc.•Target opportunities for growth, support the development of winning proposals, and maintain opportunity momentum to expand client revenue and connectivity •Conduct store or event checks while programs are executing to better understand the in store execution and opportunities to improve
Client and Cross Functional Leadership
•Travel to customer and client locations to participate in key meetings to obtain valuable onsite knowledge of team dynamics, and customer and client operations. •Work with internal client and external customer to identify insights and define solutions for customers that drive brand/category/channel growth for client•Work with Leadership and Cross Functional Teams to gather and monitor client intelligence, build client executive business relationships and resource alignment
Market Research/Analytics
•Strengthen market research and analytical skills through increased usage, obtaining training or partnering with client or Cross functional teams on best practices, new capabilities/systems or specific technology •Ensure that all recommended program concepts and ideas are rooted in market research and solid analytics•Manage the analysis process for current year activity to help drive development of future plans•Determine purpose and research questions to be answered through market research by communicating with client management teams•Collect and analyze secondary data sources to create and/or answer market research and business objectives•Develop methodology, create surveys and administer the survey to the sample.•Present market research findings in written and/or oral reports to client management teams
Project/Client Management and Support
