Position Summary
The Marion Superior Court Training Director is responsible for design, implementation, and management of a comprehensive staff training system for the Marion Superior Courts. The Director will oversee training for key judicial support positions (i.e., judicial assistants, chief bailiffs, bailiffs, and court reporters through three phases – initial training, on-the-job probationary training, and continuing training updates. The Director will provide remedial training when necessary. The Director will assist judicial officers with specialized training on the Odyssey Case Management System as needed. The Director will supervise training teams for the major felony courts, the lower-level felony courts, the family courts, and the civil courts. The Director will also design and supervise an auditing system to ensure that accurate record keeping standards are met throughout the court systems and applications. The Training Director will be responsible for communicating the expectation that the Marion Superior Court deliver an accurate and complete record of the dispensation of justice in Marion County upon which the public can rely.

Qualifications
Teaching, training, or coaching experience necessary. Customer service experience necessary. Bachelor’s Degree or relevant court experience strongly preferred. Must have a preternatural dedication to accuracy. Must be well organized. Must be able to communicate and interact with diverse groups of individuals. Strong computer skills including proven experience with Microsoft Office products. Extensive experience in the correct use of the Odyssey Case Management system required.
Salary enhancements are available for advanced education (Associate's or Bachelor's degree) and bi-lingual skills.
Marion County residency is required within six months of the date of hire.
