We are seeking a Sales Trainer to work as part of the Talent Management Team within the Human Resources Department at our Community Support Office headquartered in McLean, VA. This is a remote position and requires travel (up to 25% during peak times). This position will develop and deliver sales training (primarily virtually and in-person as needed), create tools and job aides; manage department administrative tasks and processes; and deliver high-quality CRM training as measured by class evaluations and certification rates. The trainer will help drive a sales excellence culture in addition to reinforcing an “Everyone Sells” philosophy. Collaborate with regional leadership to identify skill gaps and provide training and tools to bridge gaps as requested.
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities:

The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed as follows:
- Manage training schedule and registration process, including communication to field, documentation of registrations, creation of class rosters and tracking of participant certification
- Upload all class completion and certification records to Sunrise Learning Management System
- Facilitate Zoom / MS Teams training: both hands-on sessions and virtual sessions
- Create job aids and communication pieces (e.g. articles for e-newsletters)
- Collaborate with regional leadership to identify skill gaps; create and facilitate training to address gaps
- Partner with Sales & Marketing team to design job aids which optimize DOS use of marketing campaigns and tools
- Design, deliver, and continuously improving the Sales Training Program to support sales strategies and objectives for the company's new and existing sales professionals
- Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of the training program
- Collaborate with subject matter experts on upcoming product releases
- Partner with the Sales team as a mentor/coach to improve sales acumen - sourcing methodology, cold calling best practices, lead/pipeline management, etc.
- Stay informed on advanced learning methodologies and cutting-edge tools and technology that may be leveraged to improve sales productivity

Qualifications:

- Must have a passion for sales & learning
- Must demonstrate the Sunrise Principles of Service and the Team Member Credo
- Must understand training design and adult learning principles and must be able to put those principles into action daily
- Five years of community/field training and Sales experience preferred
- Must have strong training development and delivery skills (both in classroom and remote environments / creating and delivering)
- Must possess outstanding customer service skills and be able train and coach those skills
- Must be able to work well within a matrix organization
- Outstanding written and verbal skills
- Outstanding project management skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in CRM applications
- Proficiency with authoring tools/ presentation platforms, such as Vyond, Articulate, etc. is preferred
- Strong technical ability and competency in MS Office applications, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Strong technical ability and competency in Zoom, Teams, etc.
- Proven ability to work and accomplish goals without daily supervision
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time during peak times
