Join one of the largest Freightliner/Western Star Heavy Truck Dealerships in the Southeast as a Freightliner Trainer. Based in Jackson, MS, this role is integral to the development and success of our Service teams. We are seeking a seasoned professional with prior experience in heavy trucks, equipment, rental, leasing fleets, or similar industries.

As a Freightliner Trainer, you will have the opportunity to shape the skills of our technicians, ensuring they are equipped to deliver the highest level of service.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and conduct technical training materials, classroom agendas, and certification programs.

• Create and manage training schedules, ensuring all dealership technicians are on track to achieve and maintain manufacturer certifications.

• Identify training needs and collaborate with team leadership and Service Managers to create tailored training paths for our technicians.

• Onboard and train new technicians on company processes and protocols.

• Document and track certifications necessary for ongoing technician training and development.

• Develop and deliver training to support parts and service in policies and procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience related to the service, repair and maintenance of heavy-duty trucks is required.

• Previous experience with a Freightliner dealer is a plus.

• Proficient use of computers and software such as Microsoft Office Suite and other web-based applications.

• Must have a valid Driver's License with clean MVR.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to present material and complete the learning process.

• Professional demeanor and appearance

• Must be able to travel as needed to provide on-site trainings at our dealerships and to obtain necessary certifications.

• Able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.

• Experience in developing and delivering technical training materials and programs.

• Ability to assess training needs and create tailored training paths.

• Experience in documenting and tracking certifications for training and development purposes.
