JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Corporate Sales Trainer will identify and monitor training needs in Usherwood’s Sales Department, and design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain training materials that cover various aspects of the sales process, product knowledge, and customer relationship management, objections handling, and negotiation skills.
- Deliver training sessions both in-person and virtually to educate sales representatives.
- Onboard new sales hires and be main point of contact throughout their 100-day plan.
- Assess employee training needs by evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of sales members.
- Provide coaching and feedback to address specific skill gaps and help develop strategies for improvement.
- Keep up to date on industry trends including new sales methodologies, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate relevant information into training programs.
- Monitor and report on training effectiveness by analyzing sales performance metrics.
- Collaborate with sales leadership/management to align sales programs with organizational goals, provide insights into sales team performance, and support the implementation of sales strategies.
- Continue to evaluate and refine training programs based on feedback from sales team members, changes in market conditions, and evolving business needs.
- Encourage knowledge sharing by facilitating peer-to-peer learning sessions.
- Local and regional travel is not frequently expected but may be required sometimes.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, business administration or related field or equivalent years of experience.
- 5 or more years in training or organizational development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of training processes.
- Ability to moderate large groups.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
