Sales Support Representative, Sr. jobs in Huntington, NY

Job Summary

Main Street Wholesale Meats, family owned and operated since 1946, is looking for an Inside Sales and Customer Support Representative to join our team.

In this role, you will provide product and order support to prospective and existing customers and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency while maintaining a friendly, helpful and professional demeanor.

General Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty.
• Answers phones providing support to customers by answering questions about product offerings, pricing, availability, product use and preparation, and credit terms.
• Maintain knowledge of wholesale cuts of beef, pork, veal, lamb, poultry, provisions, and game.
• Enter all orders into FoodConnex accurately and efficiently.
• Proactively follow up with customers to ensure client satisfaction, address questions/concerns, resolve problems and provide ongoing customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and respond to incoming sales emails - ranging from product questions, complaints, replies to statements/ credit inquiries or forwarding emails to the proper departments for follow-up.
• Enter product costs into the order entry system and share them with outside sales representatives.
• Revive "cold" or dormant accounts

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree highly preferred.
• At least 2 years of inside sales experience required, preferably within the retail/hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of wholesale cuts of beef, pork, veal, lamb, poultry, provisions and game
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Strong phone presence.
