As a Territory Representative, you will be responsible for managing and growing customer accounts within the North & Central New Jersey area. Responsibilities include:
· Travel throughout assigned sales territory to manage established customer accounts and solicit new customers:
· Lawn, Garden, Patio, & Holiday Décor Categories
· Identify and confirm seasonal sales opportunities
· Promote distribution of new products
· Secure seasonal displays and other merchandising opportunities
· Weekly fill-in orders
· Develop new business in all channels of trade
· Marketing special promotions to your account base
· Promote marketing programs (advertising and consumer promotions) that strengthen customer performance
· Participation in corporate selling events including the company’s industry leading Open House trade show, Summer Marketplace and Good Tidings Holiday Showroom.
· Resolve customer issues and follow up with home office to ensure all corrective actions are responded to in a timely manner
· Track and report market activity to improve performance versus competitors

Desired Skills and Experience
· A minimum of 5 years field sales experience for a manufacturer or wholesale distributor is preferred.
· Retail sales experience with lawn and garden products retailer is a plus.
· Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license and insurance.
· Ideal candidate is a competitive, self-motivated individual with good organization and communication skills capable of managing a diverse portfolio of product categories with dynamic program terms.
· Must be proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and ability to work with the company’s proprietary software.
