Sales Support Manager manages the daily operations of the sales support function. Oversees the resource allocation and workflow of all support activities including order processing, RFP response, data collection, and the preparation of reports to support sales teams. Being a Sales Support Manager identifies and resolves operational issues. Implements promotional events to increase sales volume. Additionally, Sales Support Manager may resolve complex customer requests or complaints. May manage the processing of sales incentive or commission programs. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Sales Support Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sales Support Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     In this role you will

     

    • Accept, resolve and/or escalate customer calls and/or manage the documentation and follow up processes.
    • Accept, resolve and/or appropriately escalate Sales Representatives issues/complaints.
    • Coordinate and supply necessary documentation within online reporting trackers as needed.
    • Utilize internal systems to access and research customer accounts and history.
    • Confer with customers by telephone to provide information about products or services, cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints.
    • Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as follow up actions taken.
    • Consistently follow up to ensure that appropriate changes were made/actions were taken to resolve customers' problems.
    • Determine credits or charges for services rendered and collect payments or arrange for billing.
    • Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.
    • May review insurance policy terms to determine whether a particular loss is covered by insurance.
    • Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results or any planned adjustments.

    Required Education and Experience

     

    • High School diploma or equivalent required.

    • Proficiency in Excel highly preferred.
