Sales Manager manages the sales teams and supporting operations required to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Manager conducts long-term and short-term goal setting for teams and individuals and uses data to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Monitors the industry, business environment, competitors, and customers to develop action plans for expanding and retaining the customer base. Additionally, Sales Manager uses customer feedback and insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products. Builds and develops effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and training. Participates in meetings, presentations, and demos to support or close strategic or high-value sales. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Requirements:


    Primary Responsibilities
    :

    • Effectively establishes the selling price for units, as part of desking the deal.
    • Consistently and continuously monitors and makes necessary adjustments based on deviation reports, sales analysis, prep costs, and weekly sales reports (including market forces and trends.)
    • Manages product marketing, prepares for shows, positioning, and advertising activities.
    • Conducts effective budgeting and strategic planning activities (in coordination with other departments) including the incorporation of individual sales production goals.
    • Maintains and strengthens successful customer and community relations.
    • Effectively manages unit inventory for maximum return on company investments that results in increased profitability – to maximize both sales potential and opportunities as well as to minimize financial marketplace risks, resulting in increased profitability.
    • Establishes, manages, and adjusts the inventory plan as required, monitoring monthly turnover.
    • Effectively establishes actual cash value (trade appraisals, reconditioning estimates.)
    • Effectively merchandises inventory, including lot and showroom layouts.
    • Maintains and strengthens manufacturer and vendor relationships.
    • Successfully hires, trains, develops and coaches salespeople on how to effectively sell and service customers, including approaching, negotiating, and closing the deal when necessary.
    • Oversees the transaction and completion of all sales-related processes, including the maintenance and strengthening of relationships between departments and personnel.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Strong customer service skills with excellent communication ability.
    • Thorough knowledge of RV industry.
    • Ability to lead and mentor others for successful selling and customer interaction.
    • Good computer skills.
    • Business acumen.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Strong, successful sales background, preferably in the RV, automotive, or motor sports industries.
    • High school diploma required; college degree strongly preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Office environment with prolonged sitting, standing, walking, computer work.
    • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as necessary.
