Sales Director directs sales organization operations and develops the tactics, operational plans, and processes to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Establishes and implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Director oversees goal setting for departmental and group levels of the sales organization and uses data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Implements methods and systems to effectively analyze and monitor the industry, business environment, and competitors and expand the customer base. Additionally, Sales Director uses market and customer insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products. Builds effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and development programs. May personally participate in or negotiate strategic or high-value sales. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Sales Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Sales Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Accountabilities:
    In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of an integrated US brand plan, creating innovative market development strategies, and developing deep customer insights. You will also handle marketing budgets and resources, work with the highest degree of professionalism, and in accordance with the company’s code of Ethics and Business Conduct.

    Essential Skills/Experience:
    • Bachelor’s Degree (Business or Science focus preferred)
    • Minimum 8 years pharmaceutical and/or healthcare experience
    • Shown success in marketing, including launching innovative products
    • Successful delivery of strategic and operational plans within a therapeutic or business area

    Ability to effectively lead and influence individuals at all levels and cross-functionally

    • Sound business judgment, ethical behavior, decisiveness, and strategic vision
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
    • Experience building strong external relationships within a therapy ecosystem across healthcare professionals, key accounts, and patient groups
    • Strong financial acuity with the ability to assess and get results
    • Requires approximately 10-20% travel

    Desirable Skills/Experience:
    • Advanced Degree in business, marketing, or the sciences
    • Experience in hospital sales and/or marketing
    • Experience in neurology, GI, and/or trauma
    • Highly Specialized Product launch/life-cycle experience 
    • Social/ Digital marketing experience
    • Direct-report leadership experience
