Associates, Bachelor’s or Paralegal degree/certificate preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department.

• A diverse background and competency in various practice areas is ideal such as employment law

with a strong background in business and commercial litigation.

• Highly organized with strong communication skills and superior attention to detail.

• Able to take direction and work independently with little supervision.

• Sound working knowledge of the legal system and procedures.

• Advanced skills with a variety of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Products,

databases, Adobe Acrobat, and legal accounting software programs.

• Familiarity with various court services including e-filing.

Responsibilities of the Legal Assistant

• Provide legal support to three or more attorneys.

• Complete administrative duties: scanning, answering phone calls, coordinating appointments,

drafting, revising, proofreading documents, and managing legal documentation and

correspondence.

• Directly communicate with clients.

• Facilitate communication between the lawyers with clients, financial institutions, courts, and

governmental agencies.
