E-commerce Marketing Assistant

The E-commerce Marketing Assistants at East Coast Truck and Trailer Sales create and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, run sales for parts and truck online, and do a variety of other marketing tasks. Our eCommerce Marketing Assistants work as a team, while also collaborating with other departments. They develop content for our e-commerce website(s), social media, email marketing, print and web advertising, video marketing, text message marketing, blog writing, search engine optimization, etc. with the goal of increasing revenue and Analytics.

As an E-commerce Marketing Assistant, you may be tasked with any or many of the tasks below and what you are doing will be dependent upon the Marketing Calendar, planned campaigns and events, and what the leadership team tasks the marketing department with, which can be different every day, and the work will be somewhat different every day.

On a regular basis, you will:

· Meet deadlines with time to spare, thereby reducing stress levels for others on your team.

· Create and modify web pages.

· Participate in the creation of social media, emails, website, and other marketing to boost user engagement and revenue on a regular basis.

· Monitor the performance of the campaigns and projects that you contribute to.

· Do graphic design.

· Take and edit photos and videos.

· Run inventory reports and perform site backups and updates.

· Maintain company profiles online.

· Research, source, and curate industry relevant material to share on social media.

· Create marketing for presentations, catalogs, Creative Sets, web banners, web ads, web tiles, print ads, buttons, advertisements, and other printed and web projects, etc.

· Ensure accurate and efficient inventory management across a variety of online sales platforms on the back-end.

· Provide efficient order fulfillment notifications.

· Notify customers of order changes and delays and coordinate with sales, parts, and other departments as necessary.

· Ensure that customers are pleased with purchase(s) via surveys and reviews processes.

General Ongoing and Daily eCommerce Marketing Department Responsibilities

· Graphic design projects in Photoshop, and sometimes working in InDesign or Lightbox, Remarkety, Yoast, etc.

· Website marketing maintenance of the ECTTS website(s) - developing and refining funnels through the use of landing pages and the refinement of category pages, website maintenance includes making new web pages and making changes to existing web pages through the back-end dashboards of the website(s) for parts and trucks most commonly, but for each department as needed.

· External web listings, marketing, and advertising on external websites, eCommerce platforms, which may include Google, Bing, social media, other Internet marketing platforms, forums, groups, magazines, etc.

· Create marketing projects, get approvals for, and schedule parts posts, truck posts, parts emails, truck emails, SMS texts for sales, campaigns, events, trade show marketing, and announcements.

· Grow audiences on each platform.

· Create, review, and update content on ECTTS websites, in collaboration with others.

· Collect data off the web, our platforms, mailing lists, online searches, etc. and then integrating them.

· Work within apps and apps and websites that have plugins, Big Commerce, Wordpress, Access, HTML, CSS, doing product imports and exports, and working with form pages.

· Do marketing research on the target audiences.

· Utilize Planner for task organization, follow through, and productivity tracking.

· Parts Listings research, specs collections for listings, create and edit web pages.

· Truck Listings research, truck ads, specs collections for listings, create and edit web pages.

· Use the Content Calendar and marketing plans for suggested marketing ideas that fit corporate plans to increase digital sales on our website and digital platforms while maintaining consistent alignment with the Marketing Plan and business goals.

· Use Canva and Envato for design elements and incorporate them into pre-approved templates (Creative Sets, banners, and and frames) for daily, weekly, and monthly cross-platform campaigns.

· Write effective article copy that weaves search engine marketing into the article text for blogs.

· Design and write copy for marketing projects you work on.

· Execute campaigns by pre-scheduling approved marketing content.

· Analyze customer feedback to improve user experience.

· Alter ongoing campaigns to increase traffic on digital platforms.

· Monitor and analyze relevant metrics to evaluate the performance of each marketing campaign and submit reports to the Marketing Manager.

· Provide support to marketing department, management team, and to other departments as needed.

· Maintain schedules for marketing initiatives.

· Organize and archive marketing collateral.

· Roll out product and truck promotions and discounts within set timeframes.

· Create guidelines and document the procedures for content creation and new product listings.

· Generate and analyze product listings and inventory, and online marketing efforts, to provide insights into slow-moving and hot-selling items, passing along notices of shortages in inventory.

· Pivot to improve upon the marketing, sometimes with a moment’s notice and sometimes changing direction of finished work to suit the leadership team.

· Respond to questions and comments across our online presence and emails, then forwarding leads to the appropriate team(s), which may include the use of Olark, Yoast, Yotpo.

· Manage other daily departmental responsibilities.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

· Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism

· 3 years of experience in Digital Marketing

· 3 years of graphic design skills and Adobe experience

· Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Office (Excel, Word, Access a plus)

· Hands-on knowledge of and experience with design, uploading, scheduling, and tracking - web Analytics and optimization tools (such as Google, CMS, SMM, and email marketing, Analytics)

· Demonstrated experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok)

· Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and Internet marketing

· Experience with CMS Dashboard Website Maintenance (WordPress, Big Commerce)

· Experience in Karmak a plus

· Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign)

· Digital photography and video editing experience

· Understanding of digital marketing best practices and White Hat strategies

This position requires that the eCommerce Marketing Assistant attend some or all trade shows and company events when requested, which may include occasional Saturdays and/or U.S. travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
