    A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DEALERSHIP INVENTORY MANAGER - OFFICE ADMIN

    n

    As a Dealership Inventory Manager - Office Admin, you are critical to the success and growth of our dealership! You are responsible for gathering and processing essential paperwork to ensure that all vehicle purchases and sales are legal and legitimate. Every day, you follow up with and check on pending car titles from customers, finance companies, auctions, and other dealerships. Whenever a title is on the way, you diligently track its status to ensure it arrives in a timely manner.

    n

    Attentive to detail, you accurately process paperwork for DMV transactions, ensuring it adheres to all Alaska state laws. Using your knowledge of DMV guidelines you learned from your past experience or the DMV training, you help answer questions and keep the team up to date as needed. You stay up to date with the most current DMV requirements, handling issues as necessary. As the Office Manager, manager, you work closely with the finance manager and owner.

    You help ensure the team is working and reaching their goals as well as updating the finance manager. Including but not limited to any issues that arise regarding the team, customers or institutions. As a manager, you will be expected to be a problem solver. You keep track of inventory, delegate tasks to specific team members, and ensure deadlines are and are a priority. Ensuring vehicles on the lot are also on the company website with photos. We have a photographer responsible for taking photos of inventory. You will also be responsible for keeping track of payoffs and titles of vehicles. This position also requires you to drive to local banks, DMV and/or title processing firms. You have the choice to use a company car for these errands or your own personal car.

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DEALERSHIP INVENTORY MANAGER - OFFICE ADMIN

    • 1 years of Microsoft Excel experience

    • DMV processing experience OR a paid 2-week training session through the DMV
    • n
    • Intermediate accounting knowledge
    • n
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to ten-key by touch

    • Ability to implement DMV policies and procedures
    • n
    • Ability to log incoming/outgoing titles, registration, plates, and calling customers when ready for pickup
