Associate Director, Endowment and Gift Administration

Position Summary:
The Associate Director, Endowment & Gift Administration is responsible for securing and managing gifts, and collaborating with other Foundation team members to ensure that private support is directed to the appropriate unit or program at the University of Idaho. The associate director works cooperatively with Foundation leadership to manage aspects of the endowment portfolio and gift administration. The position develops policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and meeting reporting requirements. The position works effectively with University Advancement personnel to ensure the appropriate stewardship of the Foundation's assets and the donors who provide them. The position oversees, manages and supervises gift operations; maintains and monitors effective internal controls to ensure accurate recording and receipting of gifts.
Duties may include:
- Managing and supervising endowment & gift administration staff.
- Ensuring proper designation of gifts to endowments and current use funds
- Writing and editing gift use agreements that meet legal standards and comply with Foundation and University policy.
- Assisting in communication of gift policies and procedures and the training of University stakeholders.
- Participating in events or meetings related to Foundation, Advancement, or other University activities.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five years of progressively responsible financial or business operations support experience including at least two years of supervisory responsibility.
- Managing and administering database systems and operations.
- Composing, proofing and editing a variety of business documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials.
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet research
