Safety Technician inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations. Responsibilities also include documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability. Being a Safety Technician may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Responsibilities:
- Track project progress and report on key milestones
-Visit and analyze project locations, address safety concerns and implement safety procedures
- Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
-Verify safety procedures and needs for specific projects and customers
-Address and correct improper safety procedures
Skills:
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR procedures
- Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulations
-Organization and multi-tasking, along with attention to detail and ability to problem solve quickly
- Personable and trustworthy to maintain relationships with customers
- Knowledge in Traffic Control / Infrastructure/Utility Construction & relative safety measures
