Safety Specialist jobs in Idaho

Safety Specialist implements, manages and monitors safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA and other applicable requirements. Evaluates the organization's procedures, facilities and equipment by conducting inspections to identify unsafe conditions and to implement safeguards and solutions. Being a Safety Specialist ensures the organization complies with all current safety regulations and that all employees are aware of safety requirements and are prepared to follow safety procedures. Collects data and reports on all safety and accident events. Additionally, Safety Specialist may have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, resource conservation, or other safety related activities depending on the industry and location. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Safety Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     THE RIGHT STAFF has partnered with a global distributor and manufacturer in their search for a Safety Specialist to help maintain safety in their warehouse operations!

    We are seeking an experienced and qualified Safety Specialist to join our client's organization. The focus of the position is to ensure a safe and secure work environment for all employees.

    Essential Job Duties :

    • Enforce OSHA and warehouse regulations.
    • Lead safety training and inspections.
    • Manage accident responses and root cause analysis.
    • Oversee safety equipment and supplies.
    • Chair Safety Committee and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
    • Additional duties as required, with up to 10% travel.

    Minimum Requirements :

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
    • AED / CPR Certified, Instructor preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years of warehouse safety experience.
    • Knowledge of ISO 45001 & OSHA VPP requirements.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
    • Compliance with DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
    • Ability to stand, sit, and move in various environments.
    • Visual acuity and tactile sensitivity.
    • Tolerance for different temperatures and environments.

    Schedule, Pay, & Benefits :

    • Position will be stationed at Boise, Idaho facility.
    • 100% onsite
    • Flexible hours; core business hours 8 am to 6 pm
    • Pay starts at $70, 000 / year.
