POSITION: RISK AND SAFETY SPECIALIST

DEPARTMENT: Finance

Responsibilities:

Under general direction, assists the Risk and Safety Manager in the administration and coordination of the County of Anderson Risk Management, Occupational Safety, and Insurance Programs. Provides support to the County Safety Committee. Performs related duties for the Finance Department.

Required Licenses or Certifications,

Risk Management Certification
Possession of (or ability to obtain within one month of hire) a standard driver’s license.

Skill in the operation of required tools and equipment; Personal computer, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database; motor vehicle; phone; maps; manuals; charts; fax and copy machine.

Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations
Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of County operations, programs, procedures, regulations, and policies
Knowledge of risk management and loss control program experience.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing.
Professionalism at all times.
