Safety Specialist implements, manages and monitors safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA and other applicable requirements. Evaluates the organization's procedures, facilities and equipment by conducting inspections to identify unsafe conditions and to implement safeguards and solutions. Being a Safety Specialist ensures the organization complies with all current safety regulations and that all employees are aware of safety requirements and are prepared to follow safety procedures. Collects data and reports on all safety and accident events. Additionally, Safety Specialist may have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, resource conservation, or other safety related activities depending on the industry and location. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Safety Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. We are currently seeking a Safety Advisor for a 1 month night shift* assignment in Dunn, NC area to provide oversite of forklift operations within a grocery distribution center.* The Safety Advisor will be responsible for identifying issues regarding safety matters at the project site and ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and owner safety requirements.
