Safety Representative outlines and implements training programs to educate and inform workforce on work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention regulations and procedures. Develops and distributes educational materials including videos, guides, and posters. Being a Safety Representative tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. Performs inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. Additionally, Safety Representative has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Safety Representative works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. The Safety Service Center works with, and supports the business needs of, a select group of our independent agency partners. Service Center Representatives are experts of Safety’s Personal Lines products and work on behalf of our agents to provide customers with the best possible experience.
Tasks include speaking directly with insureds, dealers, banks, and other interested parties via phone, email, or other methods of communication. Educating insureds on coverages and advising what limits will best fit their individual needs or notifying of gaps in coverage. Reviewing policies for best pricing with the goal of policy and customer retention.
The successful candidate for this position is a critical thinker that possesses excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. Time management and organization skills are necessary to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This role is responsible for responding to inquiries and resolving issues from insureds, agents, banks, etc., in accordance with Company policies and procedures within their authority regarding policy guidelines, billing, claims, and basic underwriting from policyholders. Resolves all other inquiries through transfer or interaction with other Safety departments.
