We are searching for a Public Safety Officer to perform all duties and responsibilities related to the day-to-day protection and security of Southcoast Health System (SHS) and Southcoast Hospitals Group (SHG) assets and information as well as the safety of all persons on hospital/SHS property. The incumbent Officer proactively guards against fire, theft, vandalism and unauthorized entry to SHG grounds and/or buildings while controlling access points.

• Hours: Per Diem
• Shift: Flexible shifts and hours
• Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA
• Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required, associate's degree preferred.
• Prior military, security, corrections or police experience a plus.
• May require obtaining Special Police/Constable powers within a designated municipality.
• Over three months up to and including one year of experience is required.
• In accepting employment with Southcoast, you understand that you are required to be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
