Job Title: Safety Representative
Location: Pascagoula, MS
Pay Rate: $27-$28.50 per hour

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Representative to join our team at a shipyard facility in Pascagoula, MS. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of working experience in safety compliance, preferably with a background in shipyard and repair operations. As a Safety Representative, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and monitoring the facility's machinery, equipment, and overall conditions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
• Provide guidance and support to employees on safety-related matters and promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to address safety concerns and implement effective solutions.
• Assist in conducting safety training sessions for employees as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' working experience in safety compliance, with a preference for candidates with shipyard and repair experience.
• Confined space certification is mandatory.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
• EMT, First Responder, and First Aid Training are considered a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work variable hours and weekends as needed.
