Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the safety and loss prevention program for a company's construction department. Ensures that each project site conforms to all applicable safety regulations. Being a Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction is responsible for assigning safety inspectors to sites and ensuring that follow-ups are conducted when necessary. Swain Construction, Inc. and MBC Construction, LLC, are long standing family owned Omaha based companies who have been serving the Omaha communities for over 30 years. We are currently seeking a qualified Estimator - Project Manager for our concrete and paving businesses.
Candidate will have experience and knowledge of heavy highway construction projects and project estimating. Duties will include estimating, project management, project financial oversight, project documentation, working with subcontractors, managing and scheduling of jobsite functions from beginning to completion.
Interacting with inspectors, project owners, City and County employees, attending meetings, scheduling concrete pours, managing job sites and deliveries. Experience in managing equipment, productivity, quality control, safety, and estimating software skills is highly recommended. We utilize B2W bidding software.
Experience in analyzing project plans, estimate heavy civil projects, scheduling, working with Engineers on schedules, pay estimates and issues. Manage the day to day operations alongside the General Manager. Help to manage crews, scheduling, working with vendors, clients, and negotiate pricing for purchase orders and cost effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Sciences/Construction Management Degree preferred and/or 3-5 years of experience in related field. Computer and communications skills, utilizing math at the college level and read/operate precision measuring equipment. Ability to develop and maintain project schedules.
