Safety Director jobs in Oregon

Actalent is hiring a Safety Director to join a local contractor. This role is a 50/50 mix off in office and local site visits, company vehicle provided. Description:

Run project start-up meetings

Manage site specific safety plans, JHA Manuals, SDS Manuals and submit them to the general contractor

Prepare safety posters, graphics and safety job start packets

Review job Boards: Schedule, Time, Accountability

Conduct Safety audits of job site

Maintain safety training records

Facilitate New Hire Safety Orientation

QA/QC deck walks

Facilitate trainings for Forklift/MEWP and Confined Space

Update outdated safety documents

OSHA 300 Logs

Training for the following: Fall Protection, Fall protection plans, Rigging/signaling, OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR

Management of Work comp claims

Purchasing and tracking of all safety equipment and supplies

Skills:

Safety, Construction, Osha 30, Construction safety, osha logs, health & safety, Osha 500, safety procedures, commercial construction

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

5 years of Construction Safety Management Experience

Experience conducting fall protection trainings

OSHA 500 preferred

OSHA 30
