POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of an RN, provides close observation of patients. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Promotes the therapeutic environment and patient-centered care. Monitors the safety of patient activity continuously throughout the duration of the shift.
REQUIREMENTS: High school graduate or equivalent required. BLS (CPR) required upon hire. The individual must complete and successfully pass the CPH provided sitter education and orientation to include non-violent crisis intervention training; must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to facilitate a safe environment; be able to communicate observed changes in vital signs, behavior and activity to Registered Nurse.
