Ribbon Assistant Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Ribbon Assistant Operator for a company based in Northport, AL. Your responsibility will be to implement and achieve plant and organizational goals pertaining to production and employee safety. Provide support to accomplish scheduled production in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Pay Rate
$18.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Rotating shifts every 30 days
Ribbon Assistant Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand how to use SAP, print labels and keep accurate inventory
- Maximize ribbon machine speeds, and minimize ribbon machine downtime and waste
- Inform management of mechanical and operational problems
- Troubleshoot all equipment associated with the ribbon machine
- Understand all upstream and downstream processes
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, Perform Preventative Maintenance on machine as required
- Report unsafe acts and accidents to management
- Suggest better work practices or system modifications to reduce accidents
- Fill out accident reports completely and correctly
- Make ribbons are according to specs and ensure that the employees are finishing product rolls professionally (for example, neat taping, no paper sticking out at cores or end, roll labeling, no defacing of rolls, etc.)
- Correct all quality defects, enforce OSHA, ADEM and EPA standards
- Support JSA (job safety analysis) and implement safety changes as required
- 1 year forklift experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- May be exposed to general manufacturing hazards in the plant
- On- site safety gear required as defined by OSHA
- Bending, lifting, and climbing required
