SAP Basis Consultant provides technical support and leadership on SAP Basis systems including establishing standards and requirements, evaluating and directing enhancements, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring, and systems configuration, design and implementation. Designs and develops SAP architecture requirements and specifications to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs. Being a SAP Basis Consultant requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a SAP Basis Consultant typically requires 10+ years of related experience. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously. Lead and coach the SAP BASIS Administrator and our support vendor resources in all day-to-day SAP activities. Provide operational and project support for the multiple components of our mission critical SAP systems, application servers, and non-SAP 3rd party products.
The SAP BASIS Lead must understand SAP system administration practices for ABAP, JAVA, Business Objects and HANA. The candidate will also work with senior level staff to define and implement standards and review recommended changes. The candidate must have been involved in an SAP environment upgrade to S4. Will also be responsible for enforcement of all SOX IT policies.
