LOCKER ROOM ATTENDANT
POSITION INFORMATION
Title: Locker Room Attendant
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Facilities Manager
Direct Reports: N/A
General Purpose: Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, responsible for ensuring the locker rooms are clean, well maintained, and in orderly condition at all times. Provides personal items to Members and Guests in locker rooms and responds to requests in a courteous and timely manner. Cleans, sets up, stocks, and maintains furniture and amenities in the Courtyard. Cleans and restocks amenities in the Fitness Center and The Studio. Assists laundry operations as-needed. Assists with cleaning and/or restocking cabanas and pool decks as-needed. Contributes to a respectful, positive, and supportive working environment across departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
¨ Approach all interaction with colleagues, Members, and guests in a courteous, service-oriented manner; attentive, friendly, helpful, and respectful to Members, guests, vendors and colleagues.
¨ Report to work and clock in/out for scheduled shifts and meal and rest periods on time in complete and proper uniform.
¨ Maintain personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
¨ Subscribe to the principle of continual improvement in all facets of the operation.
¨ Communicate with Members and guests offering towels, amenities, or assistance.
¨ Ensure towels are stocked, replaced and removed for cleaning.
¨ Assist guests with day-use lockers as-needed.
¨ Receive and maintain the security of the personal effects of Members and guests using the locker rooms.
¨ Keep locker rooms clean, safe and in an orderly condition
¨ Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, drains, mirrors, floors, locker doors, walls, etc.
¨ Ensure locker rooms are stocked with all necessary items and amenities at all times; fill soap and paper dispensers regularly
¨ Gather and empty trash from locker rooms regularly and at the end of each day.
¨ Communicate supply, maintenance, safety and storage needs to management promptly.
¨ Maintain clean and organized storage rooms.
¨ Duties for The Courtyard:
o Clean and stage furniture at the beginning and end of each day
o Ensure sheers are in the proper position throughout the day
o Monitor the furniture during the day and ensure staging is consistently presented
o Keep the area clean, to include but not limited to floor, reflection pool, mirror, walls
¨ Duties for the Fitness Center:
o Clean equipment and amenities station on a regular basis
o Restock amenities as-needed
¨ Assist with laundry operations on an as-needed basis, including but not limited to laundering, folding, storing, restocking
¨ Assist with cleaning and/or staging the pool deck or cabanas on an as-needed basis, including but not limited to furniture staging, furniture wipe-down, towel prep and staging, removing soiled towels, amenities staging and replenishing.
¨ Follow all established Club and departmental policies, procedures, standards, systems, controls and objectives
¨ Notify Facilities Manager of supplies and/or equipment needs.
¨ Attend all trainings and meetings as required/requested.
¨ Follow all established Club and departmental policies, procedures, standards, systems, controls and objectives.
¨ Help promote a safe work environment in all operational areas and endeavors.
¨ Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
¨ Ability to read and comprehend memos, correspondence, and special instructions
¨ Basic math skills
¨ Friendly, punctual, and proactive
¨ High level of client services, professionalism, and attention to detail; professional appearance appropriate for a premier country club
¨ Problem solving, reasoning, and “thinking out of the box”; ability to apply common sense understanding to better serve our internal and external guests’ needs
¨ Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced environment
¨ Ability to read, comprehend, and abide by the rules of the Coral Casino Employee Handbook
¨ Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends, and holidays
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
¨ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
¨ Minimum 2 years’ maintenance or janitorial experience required; country club experience preferred
¨ Basic knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment/machinery
¨ Basic knowledge of proper chemical handling preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
¨ Frequently stands/walks for prolonged periods of time, at least eight hours
¨ Ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and reach
¨ Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift at least 35 pounds
¨ Ability to withstand continuous repetitive motions
¨ Works both indoors and in outdoor weather conditions
¨ May be exposed to loud noise
¨ May come into contact with fumes, hot and cold surfaces, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals
