Job Mission:
The Product Manager will perform an integral role in supporting the Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Installation and Production teams. This role will help develop successful products, create training programs, and produce supporting documentations. .
Product Manager Responsibilities:
- New and updated Products - following industry trends to understand product requirements. Identifying product areas for development, assisting in design of new products. Document procedures and timelines for new product development(s). Organize and launch new/updated products, document supporting resources for various departments.
- Support Sales Department - Provide training on products, provide customer training, review specifications, assist with submittals, assist with customer product selection.
- Support Marketing Department - Produce product documentation to support website and brochures. Generate and maintain installation instruction documentation. Develop and maintain installation video library and maintain technical drawing library.
- Support Customer Service Departments - Provide product training, train troubleshooting techniques, troubleshoot high lever product issues.
- Operations/Production support - Assist Production Manager in creating production procedures. Maintain ERP BOMs and deductions, assist procurement in materials and vendors.
- On-site support and installation - Provide on-site support where required, train installation team on new and high-level products. Assist onboarding new technicians.
Product Manager Qualifications:
- Within area of expertise, expert skill in advising and consulting with all levels of management
- Expert written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including expert level political acumen and negotiation skills.
- Expert skill in promoting, advancing, and implementing programs within area of expertise.
- Expert knowledge in one or more complex, technical areas of construction, such as sustainability, mechanical engineering, landscape architecture, infrastructure, or other specialty fields.
- Expert skill in building, maintaining, and nurturing strong professional relationships to achieve short- and long-range program implementation goals.
- Expert analytical, organizational, project management and problem recognition/avoidance/resolution skills.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of various computer software programs including, but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook and Outlook calendar, and construction project management software.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships.
- Ability to perform accurate, detailed work.
- Ability to organize work, establish priorities and meet deadlines for department.
- Ability to perform accurate mathematical computations including fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, algebra, interest and routine statistics.
- Ability to extract data from systems and the ability to analyze, validate, and prepare consolidated reports using tools such as pivot tables and formulas within Microsoft Excel.
- Has thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures; knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas.
- Knowledge of the organization, its achievements, mission, vision, goals, policies, practices, infrastructure, and a strong knowledge of current affairs.
