    This salaried position is Full Time/Full Year $27.66-28.45 per hour ($57,532.80-59,176 annually) 

    The Early Head Start (EHS) Site Team Leader (STL) provides immediate supervision and oversight of Rock Co. Early Head Start services and staff according to the individual needs of participating pregnant women and children, ages birth to 3, in consistency with the needs of the community and provided in coordination and collaboration with Head Start and other community services.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Supervise EHS Nurturers and Home Visitors, including annual appraisal and professional development.  
    • Assist with onboarding for new staff according to agency onboarding plan. 
    • Support staff in working with the program Instructional Coach and other contracted support services.  
    • Provide guidance to direct service staff around individualizing services to children and families. 
    • Support staff with completion of required documentation and record keeping. 
    • Support direct service staff with the process of emergency interventions, including children with challenging behaviors and meet/talk with parents as needed. 
    • Complete classroom and home visit observations to support staff development and high-quality services to children and families. 
    • Provide reflective supervision, including one on one meetings with supervisees and participate in reflective practice sessions. 
    • Attend and support agency meetings/trainings that include EHS team members. 
    • Support direct service staff with planning and facilitation of family events, including playgroups, parent center meetings and family nights. 
    • Support staff with the collection and use of data to drive service delivery. 

    OPERATION RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Complete assigned operations paperwork, e.g., time sheets, Registry request forms, etc. 
    • Oversee and coordinate staff coverage to ensure daily program operations. 
    • Sub in classroom per on-call list /schedule. 
    • Participate in night and weekend activities pertinent to job duties. 
    • Support culture of safety. 
    • Support recruitment of program participants. 
    • Attend management meetings, including operations and safety meetings.  
    • Provide input into development, and monitoring of EHS budget.  

    LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Support management team in development and revision of policies and systems to ensure seamless provision of all services for Head Start and Early Head Start services. 
    • Assist with the development of orientation, onboarding plans and work with EHS Child Development Manager to ensure all tools for implementing are developed and available. 
    • Assist in creating ongoing monitoring strategies and tools and complete monitoring tasks including record keeping of ongoing monitoring. 
    • Work with EHS Child Development Manager to support coach in prioritizing work with EHS nurturers and home visitors. 
    • Work with the EHS Child Development Manager and other professionals to plan and facilitate training to direct service staff. 
    • Participate in cross training and succession planning for EHS child development services. 
    • Assist with the development of childcare collaborations, Memorandum of Understanding agreements and EHS contracts as needed. 
    • Represent RWCFS on pertinent community committees as schedule/job duties allow.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K) or a Bachelor’s degree or higher that includes coursework equivalent to a major in Early Childhood Education. Transcripts are required to validate educational requirements.

    Employee must be 18 years of age or older.

    Must have or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certificates.

    Required excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

    Ability to maintain good attendance.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum of one year experience with early childhood home-based and/or center-based programming. 

    Minimum of one year supervisory experience is preferred. 

    Ability to operate a variety of office machines, such as computer, keyboard, coper, FAX machine, computer printer, etc.

    It is desirable for the employee to be fluent in English and Spanish.
