Risk Management Director manages and administers an organization's risk-management programs. Implements policies, procedures, and controls to monitor and minimize the risk exposure of assets. Being a Risk Management Director researches internal and external risk factors including economic, market, and regulatory risks that may affect the organization. Routinely evaluates the effectiveness of procedures and collaborates with internal stakeholders to monitor changes in the business environment. Additionally, Risk Management Director manages statistical analysis and designing of financial models to predict the risk exposure of an organization's assets. Reviews risk analysis reports to ensure risks are identified and managed effectively. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Risk Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Risk Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Position Overview:
    This position oversees the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Archer platform and leads model risk management. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to drive risk management strategies, policies, and procedures. Leads implementation and maintenance of the Archer GRC platform and model risk management to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the organization. Represents the Enterprise Risk Management team on the Risk Technology Committee.

    Essential Functions:

    • Serves as the subject matter expert and administrator for the Archer GRC platform, ensuring its efficient operation and customization to meet risk management needs.
    • Develops and implement GRC policies, procedures, and frameworks in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to facilitate risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
    • Identifies, develops, recommends and implements risk management policies and procedures for the entire organization, and provides regular communication to the organization and its leadership on risk management developments, strategies, action plans, and results.
    • Leads, maintains and enhances the Organization’s Model Risk Management Program.
    • Coordinates and oversees the Organization’s Model Risk Management Program to review and evaluate model validation results.
    • Facilitates and aligns a risk aware culture through the Risk Management and Governance function of ERM with the goal of advancing the culture of the organization with effective risk management across the enterprise.
    • Influences the future strategy of the Risk Management and Governance team to achieve functional objectives.

    Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, business administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in GRC platform administration, including configuration, workflow design, and reporting.
    • Advanced knowledge of economics, risk management principles, and business process management.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complicated matters with basic and understandable terminology.
    • High degree of accuracy and accountability.
    • Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
    • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications.
    • Ability to network and maintain relationships to represent Compeer.
    • Valid driver’s license.
