Role:
Assists management in assessing, identifying, mitigating, and monitoring the organization’s key risks as a means to value protection and creation. The Risk Management Analyst provides exposure to and ability to affect the full enterprise. This includes but is not limited to third-party risk and relationship management, enterprise risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery administration, analytical and project support, and risk management reporting.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
*Assist the Director of Risk and Compliance with administering key programs including enterprise risk management, third-party risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery, and vendor management. Obtain and maintain current documentation necessary to manage these programs.
*Oversee a range of tasks related to risk and compliance applications. Ensure risk and compliance applications are fully leveraged to provide intended value to the organization. Ensure necessary application data is up-to-date and complete. Utilize applications to perform data analytics and to generate reports necessary to manage programs and provide key information to management periodically or when needed. Ensure controls are in place to maintain quality data within risk and compliance applications.
*Perform various tasks typical of an analyst such as collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; conducting assessments, reviews, and due diligence; drafting reports, procedures, and other documentation; monitoring risks, SLAs, and various data elements; and communicating with internal and external stakeholders frequently.
*Perform other duties as required by Spero Financial or as requested by the Director of Risk and Compliance. Such duties may include providing support to other departmental employees, completing assigned tasks such as training and performance reviews, conducting research, and staying abreast of current rules and regulations associated with Federally Insured Credit Unions.
Knowledge and Skills:
2 - 5 years of similar or related experience
Education:
A high school degree or GED required. Prefer 2 year associates degree or higher.
Physical Requirements: Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
Working conditions:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time in a temperature controlled environment with minimal noise.
