Right of Way Manager oversees the organization's operations and activities regarding the need for additional land or office space. Researches, negotiates and elects to purchase short- and long-term lease of land agreements and right of way for construction that meet the organization's goals. Being a Right of Way Manager oversees all land related legal issues, including transfers of titles and deeds, construction, mortgage concerns, and zoning. Makes resolutions and other legal forms related to land acquisitions. Additionally, Right of Way Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Right of Way Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Possession of an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology, real estate or a related field and two years of professional experience that includes the acquisition, disposition, or appraisal of real property for public agencies; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Must possess a current Florida Real Estate Salesperson’s License at the time of appointment or must have completed the Florida Department of Transportation Right of Way Agent training program. All job class incumbents must possess a current Florida Real Estate Salesperson’s License within six months of initial employment and maintain same as a condition of continued employment.
$19.9955 to $54.2594/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $33.6898/hour
Must possess a valid Class-E State driver's license at the time of appointment.
