Right of Way Agent prepares organization's need for additional land or office space. Researches, negotiates and elects to purchase short- and long-term lease of land agreements and right of way for construction that meet the organization's goals. Being a Right of Way Agent handles all land related legal issues, including transfers of titles and deeds, construction, mortgage concerns, and zoning. Prepares resolutions and other legal forms related to land acquisitions. Additionally, Right of Way Agent may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Right of Way Agent contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. 1. Purpose of Position:
The Office Administrator position is responsible for effectively managing financial and business operations to advance the mission of United Way of Cascade County. The position works closely with staff, volunteers, and community partners to achieve organizational goals. This position is an integral part of United Way’s commitment to excellent customer service by facilitating operations and financial information sharing between and among staff, volunteers, and donors.
2. Duties and Responsibilities
A. Fiscal duties
1. Manage accounts payables and receivables.
2. Prepare monthly financial statements/general journal entries.
3. Manage payroll/benefits functions.
4. Disburse grants and designations.
5. Coordinate internal aspects of the annual audit.
6. Communicate and interact professionally with staff, board, board Treasurer, and others with appropriate financial reports and information.
B. Organizational assistance
1. Oversee maintenance, purchasing, and management of electronic and office equipment to keep staff and volunteers working effectively.
2. Assist staff/volunteers with office duties of word processing, copying, filing and preparation of mailings.
3. Assist staff/volunteers with planning/coordination of meetings and scheduling of meeting space and A/V equipment.
4. Assist staff/volunteers with event planning.
C. Other duties as assigned by the President.
3. Qualifications:
· Preferred Associate’s degree (in business, accounting, or information technology) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Minimum of two years related experience in bookkeeping or office management.
· Demonstrated competency in Quickbooks, standard office software, and equipment.
· Demonstrated ability to develop, prioritize, and complete work plans.
· Ability to work independently.
· Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
