STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities:

·         Process vendor invoices and pay within terms.
·         Balance inventory
·         Enter standard journal entries at month end.
·         Prepare daily accounting reports.
·         Maintain various Excel spreadsheets.
·         Prepare monthly financials.
·         Reconcile various accounts at month-end.
·         Prepare monthly sales tax returns.
·         All other duties as assigned based on the needs of the business.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·         Accounting Degree or a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the accounting field.
·         Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting principles
·         Personal effectiveness/credibility and solid ethical conduct
·         Strong organization, planning, and time management skills
·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal, and written form.
·         Problem solving and investigative skills with the ability to handle pressure and think clearly in all situations.
·         Intermediate to advanced computer skills with proven ability to navigate through multiple screens effectively.
·         Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office Suite
·         Knowledge and experience working with accounting software.
·         Must have initiative and the ability to work in a team environment.
·         Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
