Rigger jobs in South Dakota

We are hiring experienced Millwright/Rigger for a project in Yankton, SD starting this Monday the 15th. Ideal candidates will have 5 years of field experience working as a Millwright/Rigger. Must pass background check and 13-panel drug test. OSHA 10 PREFERRED buy not required. Must have all own PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, high-vis vest and steel toe boots.

Millwright/Rigger Qualifications

• 5 years of verifiable field experience
• Must have mechanical AND rigging exp both
• Must be able to pass BGC and drug test
• Those with OSHA 10 will take precidence over those without it
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Millwright/Rigger Duties

• Install, dismantle, and move machinery and heavy equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs
• Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails
• Construct foundation for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure proper functionality
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and repair or replace defective parts
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

Millwright/Rigger Compensation/Benefits

• $29-$33/hr BOE
• $100/day per diem for days worked (5-6)
• 55-60 hours a week M-S
