Rigger facilitates the movement and positioning of heavy equipment, materials and cargo. Sets up rigging, slings, pulleys, winches, dollies and ropes to safely maneuver loads. Being a Rigger coordinates moving activities with others using hand or other signals. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Rigger may be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.     Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

    • Requires safe handling of loads, securement of loads, loading and unloading of equipment.
    • Signal or performing actions as directed related to hoisting and moving loads
    • At the direction of lead rigger / foreman, attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.
    • Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using forklifts and dollies
    • Align, level, and anchor machinery.
    • Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment.
    • Effectively assemble / disassemble and move machinery utilizing forklifts, gantries, cranes, skates, and jacks.
    • Drive safely and under DOT regulations tractor & trailer rigs to transport equipment and crews to job sites.
    • Routinely hauls over dimensional loads.

    Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education)

    • HS diploma or equivalent
    • Possess valid Class A CDL with Air brakes and combo endorsements
    • Minimum two (2) years proven driving experience at CDL level
    • Minimum two (2) years proven experience assembling / disassembling and moving machinery utilizing forklifts, gantries, cranes, skates, and jacks.
    • Basic knowledge of operating equipment (Forklifts, man lifts, mobile platform lifts, etc.)
    • Experienced knowledge of load securement and safe hauling practices
    • Ability to use general construction tools and equipment.

    Physical Requirements & Working Conditions :

    Performing General Physical Activities - Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 50 pounds.
