Rig Operator is responsible for operation of the rig, crew, and equipment and for ensuring customer satisfaction with all services rendered. Ensures that all crew are at the rig and ready to work at scheduled time. Being a Rig Operator maintains productivity standards for all rig functions. Maintains a safe working environment and ensures compliance of applicable regulations and policies. Additionally, Rig Operator may require a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Rig Operator supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Rig Operator typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We are currently looking to hire an entry level drill rig operator to learn our trade and develop long term, stable employment. We are seeking ambitious, safety conscious and reliable team members. This position would help with geothermal and water well drilling operations. Duties may include; assisting with the operation of drilling equipment, installing well components, installing geothermal heat exchangers and other miscellaneous well drilling operations and shop work. These are full time, year round positions with benefits. Advancement is highly encouraged and available.
Job Requirements:
* Outdoor labor experience preferred.
* Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
* Pay rate increase upon acquisition of CDL license.
* CDL financial assistance program available.
* Able to lift up to 100 lbs.
* Work overtime when necessary. Occasional out of town work.
* Being mechanically inclined and familiar with hand tools is a plus.
* Dependable and punctual.
* Positive attitude and good communication skills.
