V
Revenue and Data Operations Analyst
  • Valve and Meter
  • INDIANAPOLIS, IN FULL_TIME
  • Valve Meter is looking for our next growth-minded Revenue and Data Operations Analyst to join our growing performance marketing agency. As a critical member of our Analytics and Insights team, you’ll use data to drive action and growth for our clients. Utilize your analytical skills in a role that merges data management with revenue operations, enhancing our internal strategies and client outcomes in a dynamic digital marketing setting.

Analytics and insights are only as strong as the underlying data that powers them. In this role, you’ll help empower our account management and marketing operations teams by equipping them with actionable insights on campaign performance, allowing us to make data-driven decisions faster.

From our headquarters on the north side of Indianapolis, we help clients grow and scale their businesses nationwide. After you’ve spent a few months working mostly in our office, we offer a flexible, hybrid work environment.

    Why this Role is Important

Valve Meter’s approach to marketing focuses on customer acquisition. We don’t believe marketing performs until it consistently delivers new business for our clients. Joining the Valve Meter team means bringing your talent and personality to the table when brainstorming and iterating with a group of people from different backgrounds, such as business strategy, marketing, creative, data, and analytics.

You love data and analytics and thrive where "the rubber meets the road" in turning vision into reality. We strive to be the team that can "figure anything out" and are looking for someone with a knack for solving complex problems and an endless desire to learn.

You are at the forefront of driving growth and change, finding the right levers to pull at the right time to maximize results. You should have a passion for data, a propensity to problem-solve, phenomenal attention to detail, and, most importantly, an endless appetite to learn.

    About the Role

This role reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives

    Data Management

    • Model, extract, and ingest data from various systems and methods, including flat files, APIs, and databases.
    • Assist in managing disparate data from internal and external sources.
    • Create repeatable and efficient data pipelines and ETL flows that allow our department to drive actionable insights.
    • Design and develop automated solutions across the data lifecycle
    • Perform analysis of complex data sets to verify accuracy and completeness of raw data as well as identify and interpret trends or patterns.
    Business Intelligence & Insights
    • Develop dashboards to communicate insights and drive action by using data to tell a story rather than simply showing charts.
    • Help compile and format data into straightforward reports and visualizations, providing deep insights that drive business and client performance.
    • Analyze marketing performance on a client-by-client basis
    • Prepare reporting deliverables for internal and client teams.
    • Execute ad-hoc analytics and insights requests
    System Proficiency
    • Apply your knowledge of data tools while adapting to and mastering various new systems crucial to our operations.

    Operational Support for Revenue Activities

    • Support day-to-day revenue operations, including CRM data management.
    • Prepare data for marketing campaigns, using insights to enhance revenue strategies.

    Collaboration

    • Work within a team environment to assist in solving operational problems and streamlining processes, utilizing insights to inform and optimize workflows.
    • Collaborate with account managers and marketing leaders to understand how marketing activity turns into customers. Continually refine our process to convert customers and grow our clients.

    Professional Development

    • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to gain valuable industry knowledge and skills.

The "valve" part of our approach manages the right rate of new business for their operation, and we set our pricing with not based on the activities we pursue but on the "metered" results we generate.
